David Alaba has completed a free transfer from Real Madrid to Udinese. Both Fabrizio Romano and DiMarzio confirmed the deal on 24 September, giving the Austrian defender a new two-year home in Serie A.
Jerome Boateng also wrapped up his return to action. The former Bayern centre-back signed for Trabzonspor on undisclosed terms, with Romano reporting the agreement finalised on 25 September.
Mikel Arteta stayed put at Arsenal after putting pen to paper on a contract renewal. Romano noted the deal was sealed on 26 September, securing the Spaniard’s long-term future in north London.
Talks elsewhere remain fluid. Isaac Konde is in advanced discussions over a switch from Liverpool to Manchester United, according to Romano on 25 September, though no fee has been disclosed. Harry Kane is likewise edging closer to extending his stay at Bayern Munich, with the same reporter indicating progress on 26 September.
Lionel Scaloni’s position with Argentina is under review. Advanced talks over a renewal were flagged by Romano on 26 September. DiMarzio separately reported that Empoli are in discussions to sign Andreoletti, status unchanged as of 26 September.
