Thibaut Courtois stands at the centre of Real Madrid’s contract plans. Advanced talks are under way to keep the goalkeeper at the club, with the fee undisclosed.
Fabrizio Romano reports three further developments. Arda Güler has completed a contract renewal at Real Madrid. Emi Buendía has likewise agreed terms to stay at Aston Villa. Gerard Martín is also progressing toward an extension at Barcelona.
Plettigoal outlines movement elsewhere. Jonathan David is in advanced talks over a €25m switch from Juventus to Atlético Madrid. Dani Olmo’s proposed move from Barcelona to Bayern Munich has collapsed. Joy-Lance Mickels remains only a rumour, with Borussia Mönchengladbach said to be monitoring the Sabah FK forward for a fee between €400k and €500k.
These updates leave several high-profile situations still fluid two days before the end of October. Renewals at Real Madrid and Aston Villa are now settled, while the David pursuit and Courtois negotiations represent the clearest active negotiations. Olmo’s collapsed deal removes one option from the market, and the Mickels link stays at the earliest stage.
